Painting isn't my normal media of choice, but that doesn't mean I haven't experimented with it. As an artist, illustrator, and designer, I find that trying new media often helps me learn new techniques and styles to implement in my everyday art making.
Based on my experiences, painting has been an excellent way to practice and apply color. Aside from color, different types of paint require different types of application from letting watercolors run to quick drying acrylics or oils which take time to dry, giving an opportunity to blend paint directly on the canvas.
The following are a few of my paintings. It starts with a few watercolors that I made while studying abroad in Italy; followed by oil paintings I was taught by a mentor at Toscana Studio and Gallery; and finished up by abstracted acrylic ink pourings I picked up from seeing another artist.
